2. Aquacity Varaždin

July 17th, Saturday, triathlon race at the lake called Aquacity, near the town of Varaždin.

Approaching from Zagreb: just before entering Varaždin marks are placed for right turn to “Aquacity”.

Approaching from Hungary (border crossing Letenje): at the exit of the highway to Zagreb take right for Varaždin. After the «OMV» gas station at “T” crossing take right. Markes are placed to turn left after small airport (cca. 2km from crossing), (Aquacity is 15km from Hungary border).

10:00-12:00         Sprint triathlon and relay race registration

12:30                   Transition zone closing 

13:00                   Sprint triathlon start

15:00                   Closing the race

15:30-17:00         Dinner, results announcements and prize giving ceremony

COMPETITION SYSTEM

                SWIMMING

Ø       event will take place at the lake “Aquacity"

Ø       lap length: one triangle of 750 m

                CYCLING

Ø       transition zone is placed at the parking place of the restaurant “Aquacity", wherefrom the cycling section starts

Ø       lap length: 1 lap of 20 km on the asfalted road

Ø       the road will be partially closed so every competitor must drive at the right side of the road

Ø       drafting is allowed

                RUNNING

Ø       lap length: 1 lap of 5000 m around the lake and approaching roads

Ø       the road is plane and partly makadam

Ø       Time limit 2 hours!

PRIZE FOND: 4 000 €

Divided same as in «5. Zaprešić 2004»
